Default Wire connectors

Hi, hope this is not a silly question.
I am disconnecting the headlamp wiper motors on
My 940, and cannot get the connectors apart.
Do they just pull apart, or is there a lug or similar
that needs to be pushed first.
Silly question, but I don’t want to damage the
connectors with brute force, and some of the connectors
look heavy duty and complicated, and I am not
used to dismantling car electrics!
Thanks.

It clips together one way only. On one side you are likely to see a small plastic clip that snaps over a little moulded stub. Lift it and wiggle ... easily. The plastic is likely to be brittle with age and the plug/electrical connector seized up. However, if you can spray some electrical cleaner on it (and leave to penetrate) that will help separate the two halves. It may be a long haul!

You can just prise the bullet connectors out of the grey connector block, Tommy.

2 pairs of channel lock pliers. Break off retaining clip and wiggle the plugs apart.
