Default '87 340DL Indicator mechanism

Hi there,
The self cancelling part on the indicator mechanism wanted. It dosn't cancel when turning left but still cancells when turning right.

Thumbs up indicater

Hi mate.
you may still be able to repair it.Take the center out of the steering wheel and disconect the two horn wires after removeing the center bolt.Lift off the wheel.You will find the bit that controls the indicaters broken but still attached.Some strong glue might fix the problem.

a metal brace across the bottom of the two stalks is a good repair too . i use a 340 CVT Clutch shim , perfect ! These brackets may still be available as they are a vital part for MOT etc ...

The shimming idea sounds good, i'll have a go at that.

Hi again,
Used both ideas, glued the broken plastic mount and strengthened it with a shim glued to the bottom. Now functions perfectly.
