Default Auto dipping door mirrors passenger side not working

Hi all me again I can't get my passenger door mirror to auto dip when I select reverse. I have also tried doing it manually by pressing the button. The drivers side works fine.

It moves fine with the joystick and the memory function is working I also checked vida and there is no codes.

Anyone got any ideas?

It's the side I need to use the most

Both of mine only dip when pressing the button for the relevant side when in reverse. The manual suggests that is correct operation. Interested to read that your drivers one does it by itself as soon as selecting reverse.

It's an option in the car menu.

You can have neither, one, or both do it automatically when in reverse and also control it manually by pressing the relevant side mirror button when in reverse. If you press both at once they fold in.

Crumpet is quite right, but I have not found this useful as the dipping takes the mirror too low for useful vision. I have tried to program it to dip to an intermediate point to look along the car without succes.
Any suggestions please.

I found a post that said using memory 2 on the seat makes them go to the correct position and my driver one is just right if I do that. Just wish I could have the passenger one as well.

+1 The dipping angle just doesn't suit me and I'm better off not using it. I do have auto fold enabled when turning off the ignition. I like that.

I guess you've got a later model than I have as the only mirror related setting is to fold/unfold with the remote locking.

Perhaps you guys should put your car in your signature so that it is always apparent exactly what car you have and about which you are talking.

According to his signature, the OP has a 2005 V50 which (if correct) is a very different beast
