Aha, that probably explains it, it must be a different design.

I removed the fuse last week and relatively easy with XC90. The boot compartment fuse box is just behind one of the side panels. Fuse 15 I believe....
All seems ok so far. Car went in for service afterwards and they didn't seem to notice. |

Well wanted a little practical job to do this evening as it is finally not raining, so decided to do a battery reset to fix my satnav. Whilst I was at it I started to explore fuse 15 and the rear fusebox. Well, one thing let to another and about 90 mins later I have a small rocker switch installed in the panel below the tow bar activation button which isolates the boot kick. It is wired back to the rear of the boot fuse box and isolates the small red wire which runs the boot kick system. Works a treat and really pleased with this job. Looks almost like an OEM install as well with the little black rocker switch being the only thing you can see. All in all really pleased.
