then click on ECM then click on parrameters you will then get a long list. you can only have 8 items being monitored at once. either as a block or graph you should have something like the att picture that was taken from my 163 not on the road. mike

I have yet to determine why, but LOTS of D5s give that pattern of results, while some are within 1cm^3 of zero. Mine has had five new injectors...no change. I'm hoping to "borrow" another Euro 3 shortly, which runs beautifully. If the test reads close to zero, I'm hoping to part-swap until something cures it!
cheers James

Injector 5 is showing a very large smooth running correction factor at idle almost a 200% correction when compared to the rest. Remember that is at idle in order to maintain a fuel flow level to maintain equal power contribution with the other cylinders. That flow rate will need to be greater at higher engine loads which now may be beyond the ECUs fuel correction factor capability under the higher engine load conditions. Injectors with higher correction factors may well show acceptable leak-off readings since flow issues and not associated with infernal leakage issues but can be due to blocked spray nozzles of partial failing piezio stack expansion. Although this may not be an issue now, it has the indications of a failing injector on the horizon.
ECM 6805 is referring to a boost pressure to high issue. in live data plot the intake pressure and the TCV % duty cycle control, take it for a good boot, as the engine loads you should see TCV duty cycle rise in percentage value, when correct boost pressure has been achieved TCV duty cycle should drop. If TCV value drops but boost still increases then that is indicative of sticking VVT control vane ring. |

Yes it is 5 yrs since the problem first started.
The outcome was I had the turbo off and cleaned it several times, but this only lasted 9 months, and the last time only 3 months. In the end I replaced the turbo earlier this year (2019) with a refurbished one from London Turbos on EBay (£200). It's been fine since. |

Turbo VNT
A cheaper option is to only replace the turbo VNT.
Did this about 3 years ago. Car gets 85% city driving. No sticking VNT ever since.

Yeah, that's true, I looked at that. But I decided to go with the full refurbed turbo with a 12 month guarantee, given the car has 178K miles. I just thought it better to replace the actuator, cartridge and veins all in one go and just have the guarantee to go with it. I didn't want to buy the veins, do the job, then have to take the turbo off yet again because of something else. It came with new gasket seals too. Plus it was quicker just to swap the units, rather than take the existing one apart. I've still got it sitting in the garage, I will get around to it some day.
