Default Freeing up a 2.0D V50 exhaust.

Hi all,

Has anyone done this at all to free up the exhaust system, in diesel car's in the past that I have owned, this has been worthwhile for both MPG and throttle response.

Any thought's on this matter?

Matt

Anyone? would removing the DPF filter help? as I pressume this is on the exhaust system?

I would be getting it deleted via remap also.

Thanks

Matt

your 2.0 might not have a dpf, imo on just a 2.0tdi you wont gain much by freeing up the exhaust... not like the d5's anyway, just remove the dpf and smack the inside out of it rather than replacing the dpf with straight through pipe imo

Mine has a DPF. Would a fault then not register on the dash?

I need to look how it is connected into the exhaust system, ie does it any sensors attached etc..

Ideally I would get a straight through pipe made up.

Many thanks,

Matt

a fault code will register and possibly put you into limp mode with the dpf...i enquired about the dpf delete software and was told £200 so just knock the beans out of it and get somebody who does mapping to just map it out (they can leave the standard map on and just write a map with the dpf delete on afaik)

Thanks,
