T5 sweep
Both will do (hose diameter between manual boost control and waste gate, different actuator) With wrong (cheap) hardware there will be a boost peak. This boost peak will be registrated from the ECU by the AMM A China boisterous gauge will not be good in quantity, neither in anything else. It will registrate a vacuum or a boost. Never trust the number. 0.6 at the gauge will be between 0.3 and 1.0 bar in reality |

A larger hose will allow fluctuations in the boost pressure that wouldn't normally be noticed (intake pulses cause them) to create problems so smaller bore hoses tend to damp this out.

Just to be clear there is no boost cut on a 98 940, there are no pressure sensors, there is an airflow limit.
On my race-ish 360 97 B230FT it happens at about 16psi + 3000rpm using a TD04-13C and no other mods (wasted spark and cone filter). As already mentioned the FK actuator is not much good above 7 or 8psi. Last edited by TonyS9; Apr 23rd, 2019 at 13:48. |
