Default Water Leaks

About once a week for the past several months I've been getting a warning on the dash that my coolant level is low. I top up the reservoir with about 750 ml of water each time. I cannot see any leaks and nothing is dripping out from underneath upon returning from a longish trip. Does anyone have any idea where i could be losing water?

Thanks
Al Craig

Mine was needing to be topped up every few months for years and like you, I couldn't find any leaks. By chance, last time I topped it up, it was then put on the ramps to have the tracking checked and it was clear water was dripping onto the floor. When I lifted the bonnet I could see a tiny jet of water from a pin prick in the header tank, just above the Min level. I think every time I topped it up, the water was lost down to the min level straight away, then enough was lost over the next few months to put the light on.

20 quid for a new header tank and the problem has gone. Problem is, the leak was only visible with the tank full and the engine hot, so that might be worth a try.
