Default Leak from reservoir cap

Hi, I'm new to this posting a thread, but here it goes. I recently purchase a C30 2.0 SE LUX petrol on a 2011 plate, I have been going through the car renewing filters etc and making sure everything is tip top. Whilst doing this I have noticed brake fluid is running down from the cap and spreading around the molded rim on the reservoir. I have checked the level, cleaned the fluid which has leaked from the threads on the cap and the reservoir etc half a dozen times now, still it leaks on the next journey.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

Steven

I've not had this before, but can you buy a new cap from Volvo to see if that remedies it?

They can leak when overfull as the fluid sloshes around the breather hole , there is a MAX mark on the bottle .

Maybe the fluid gets so hot there that it vaporises out of the vent and condenses as it comes out of the cap?

Thank you all for replies, I fitted a new cap and have been on a run today, all appears fine, no sign off any leak.

Maybe, interesting theory. If so, it would be interesting what heats up the fluid so much... Will dive under the bonnet to take a look in a middle of a long drive
