  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

All sorted guys thanks for the suggestions. Managed to suck out the ceramic casing with the Hoover and rubber pipe. Now has anyone used volmech in thornaby before?

Glad its sorted out.

But just to mention, in situation like this, I wouldn't worry that much about that porcelain scoring the bore..
Not that its good, of course.

But imagine that piece being sucked towards exhaust valve and being stuck there.
Valve not closed, edges burned out, possibly piston bending the valve..
