Key less entry fob

I've seen these going on ebay but thought I'd ask you guys 1st. I've included a picture of the one I need. Let me know if you have one in a good working condition.

if your car is 1999 or later ( Blue front grille Volvo badge) these fobs are useless ... They cant be reprogrammed without the code label that comes with a new one ...

I thought I could reprogram the fob with something like the Volvo FCR software hooked up via a USB to OBD2 ELM327 Diagnostic Cable. This is not the case then?

Not if your car is 1999 or newer no .. Its not the fob which is programmed but the car .. And volvo software is needed at the dealer ..
You cant do the 1996-1998 ones either as you need the security PIN from the volvo database . Maybe you can do it with FCR on the earlier ones but you will still need the PIN ..
