I had the same issue on the my car. Car was fitted with a racechip tuning box which was making it quite noticeable. The engine would have issues above 2K RPM. Also I could see that on the gear-knob as it would shake a bit. After removing the box the issue is barely noticeable. As far as I know this tuning box increases a fuel pressure. At some point I would like to re-map my car but want to resolve that first. My guess is: injectors. I know that it will cost some money to diagnose it.. so saving some $$$ at the moment

Do these cars have a low pressure fuel pump ? One thats feeds fuel from the tank to the high pressure fuel pump ?
If so, worth checking?
