Unhappy Rear bumper losing top skin

I recently bought a 2016 XC70. Noticed today that the top skin on the rear bumper is peeling off in a couple of places. Anyone else had this ? solution ?

Thanks

Take it to the dealer and get it fixed under warranty?

Do you mean the laquer or Clearcoat ? Ask if it's recently been repainted and expect a proper repaint .Never had this problem but have you taken it to a "Hand car wash" ? Those boys all use high pressure cleaners that will easily damage car paint/body work. I won't use them after they damaged my wife and my son's car .

Maybe it's been repaired by one of the "smart" repairers dealers use. They never seem to do a good job, probably working on discount rates

Isn't it a black plastic finish rather than paint?

Is it possible it's had something spilt on it when the previous owner has been loading/unloading the boot? Brake fluid, paint thinner, etc?

Thanks for replies.

Never been to a car wash during my ownership.

There is a thin coat of paint on bumper which is peeling off, not self coloured as I thought.

Local Volvo dealer says its been painted without being primed and should be replaced under warranty, put the ball back in hands of not so local dealer from where I bought the car.

Checked with previous owner, a leasing company who said they had no record of accident damage but lesee may have had a cheap repair done and not told leasing company.

Getting a new bumper under warranty fitted by local dealer. supplying dealer wanted to repaint it but local dealer said that because it wasn't primed paint would fall off.

Car had done 9000 miles when I bought it in July, fault must have been covered up by someone before I bought it, previous lessee ? supplying dealer ? bit hard to believe that Volvo made it like that.
