Clearly you don't have a clue, streaming services usually have a bigger back catalogue of artists than some radio stations or shops!! Streaming has got nothing to do with what's popular or what's decided by a few executives. Streaming allows you NOT to pay for the crap tracks on an album and only to pay for the ones you like.
I'd rather pay £15 a month for a service to get access to 40 million odd tracks I can pick and choose than be forced to support artists who sell full albums with 1 or 2 decent tracks on it.
