Default Almost finished converting a 240 axle for an Amazon

Hi all,
I've nearly finished converting a 240 axle for use in a late model Amazon.
Is anybody interested in the process?
If people are interested, I'll write it up, with photos etc.
Cheers,
DJS

Ok, I'll get on with writing it up.

The 240 axle is a nice easy swap.

It is 1400mm wide, the Amazon axle is 1368mm wide. These are my measurements. There are lots of odd measurements out there on the net.

I have swapped over as there are more useful ratios available.
The front hubs just need to be swapped over for 1800E or ES hubs.

Thanks to Mitch (Khe Sanh) for the donation of a pair for my project.

at the risk of sounding blonde (which i am), what is the main benefit for moving to a 240 rear axle? longer legs? will you not lose out on low down torque if the ratio is too high?

Disc brakes, modern Volvo PCD and wider selection of diff ratios.

I'm really looking forward to Darren's build, this one will be a beauty!!!

Mitch is correct.
This is also part of a bigger project where the 4.1 :1 ratio is just not enough.
Maybe more of that later.
The build is written up, I just need to check the photos.
