fed up with main dealer Newcastle

I've been trying to buy the small clip thats mounted on a plastic disk that holds the gear linkage/selector cable on the gearbox in my s70, i've used about 20 quids worth of petrol going back and forward to volvo trying to get the right part first they give me the wrong one then i sent my dad in with the picture out of the haynes manual which was crystal clear and the idiot from parts dept told my dad he would'nt order it because i could'nt prove the gearbox in the picture was the one in my car!!! I went in yesterday to sort it out and after getting nowhere in parts the mechanic there told me to go to a scrap yard so thats me not going there anymore what a waste of time they did'nt even have an inlet manifold in stock never had any of this carry on with bristol street. Seems volvo cant be bothered to talk to you unless your spending 30k on a car

What engine and box combo?

I can look the part number up on Vadis. I am putting my car into my dealer on Weds. and could try them for the part for you.

I'm only in Carlisle and could either post it or meet you with it next time I'm at the Metro centre.

Thanks for the offer mate it looks like i've got one sorted second hand like but it'll do al know for sure first thing in the morning al let you know how i get on tho
