Default what should i do

i'm fed up of our bi-fuel, selling it isnt an option (althought torching it being considered)

out of the 2 1/2 years we've had it, it hasnt driven right for about 2 of them, i've been to 2 different LPG places neither of which have fixed it for any length of time.

now to add to its usual trick (of feeling like its leaning out whenever i ask for power) its also now stuttering on a steady cruise)

so, do i go back to one of the LPG guys i have used before, or do i bite the bullet, re-mortage the house and take it to volvo?

I have had the same engine cutting out problems on my 03 BiFuel, and eventually had to get a new gas distributor. However, it does not switch to gas happily when cold, and I let it warm up a little longer on petrol (to the first line on the temperature gauge) from startup, then switch manually to gas. I believe the best solution would be to have the "front end" of the LPG system replaced with an aftermarket version. Apparently not a great deal more expensive than replacing the gas distributor itself, and you wouldn't have the suspect Necam unit , which is obviously the source of the problem.
There are owners on here who have had several distributors in cars less than 7 years old.
Is there a BiFuel owner out there who HASN'T had any problems?

My v40 bio fuel does around 150 miles on a tank and also lacks power, saying that its pretty bad on petrol too. Touch wood it seem Ok at the moment although when it changes over tick over is slightly lumpy when cold

You could have a propper system fitted for less than the price of volvo atempting to fix it for you.
