Suspect dealers are cutting prices to shift old stock but at these prices I'm not complaining! Will post pic after installed. |

I'm sure it will work out fine. I've decided to stick with my TomTom on my Ipaq it still sits ideally in the slot.

have to agree with you there Iain. despite the criticism it gets, i like the built-in satnav. took me a couple of weeks to get used to compared to my old system, but like you say the full integration and updates are great. i also find the instructions very clear. much clearer than my old system and my wife's tom tom.

That looks like very good value to me and does not say £1500 for satnav alone - it could say even less than the £650 that I was suggesting

So for £1500 you get satnav plus DAB which means that the Satnav is costing an SE lux buyer approx £1250 not 650 or less As a standalone option on the R-Design it is listed at £1535. The options lists / packs are very confusing. |

I still stand by the fact that the satnav is good value when bought in this manner - it may not be at £1500 as a standalone option, you can make that call for yourself. For me, and others, the SE Lux with Premium pack provided a very good satnav system that is fully integrated with the car at a sensible price that compares well to similarly spec'd after-market units.

i think resale value also has to come into it. as a 2nd hand buyer of an xc60, i must say i don't think i'd have been so turned on by some of the after market implementations i've seen. as for the integrated sat nav i've got, no questions - it was a slam dunk.

They might help sell your car compared to another, but options forked out up front are not going to repay you later on, hence the market in bolt ons. Still it would be a boring world if we all wanted the same thing, its down topersonal choice and if I wasn't paying I would have preferred a factory fit job! |
