Hi Teejay, as far as I know it is the 765 but will confirm this Friday when it is being fitted.

Suspect dealers are cutting prices to shift old stock but at these prices I'm not complaining!

Will post pic after installed.

I'm sure it will work out fine. I've decided to stick with my TomTom on my Ipaq it still sits ideally in the slot.

have to agree with you there Iain. despite the criticism it gets, i like the built-in satnav. took me a couple of weeks to get used to compared to my old system, but like you say the full integration and updates are great. i also find the instructions very clear. much clearer than my old system and my wife's tom tom.

Assuming that I recall correctly it came out around £650 as it was included in the premium pack and as I wanted the other parts it made sense. The other parts left around £650 for the cost of the satnav, and when you look at this way it is not an expensive option given the full integration and the free updates
Standard Volvo satnav price for the XC60 is £1500+, the premium pack is nearly £1800 which includes the satnav and DAB plus an uprated stereo, so either way it's costing over a grand!

Clearly we are looking at a different Volvo pricelist then as when I look it is £1500 for leather seats, high performance sound system, DAB and voice activated satnav.

That looks like very good value to me and does not say £1500 for satnav alone - it could say even less than the £650 that I was suggesting

The current price list on the Volvo car configurator shows multiple prices for the premium pack depending upon the model it is added to ie it costs more to add to lower spec cars than higer as they already have some of the package included. It therefore costs £1500 fitted to an SE Lux (which already has leather & upgraded stereo), £1750 on the R-Design and £2350 when added to the SE which also gains Leather seats as part of the Premium pack.

So for £1500 you get satnav plus DAB which means that the Satnav is costing an SE lux buyer approx £1250 not 650 or less As a standalone option on the R-Design it is listed at £1535.

The options lists / packs are very confusing.

You are correct in that they are confusing as the leather seats come with the premium pack not with the SE Lux pack.

I still stand by the fact that the satnav is good value when bought in this manner - it may not be at £1500 as a standalone option, you can make that call for yourself.

For me, and others, the SE Lux with Premium pack provided a very good satnav system that is fully integrated with the car at a sensible price that compares well to similarly spec'd after-market units.

i think resale value also has to come into it. as a 2nd hand buyer of an xc60, i must say i don't think i'd have been so turned on by some of the after market implementations i've seen. as for the integrated sat nav i've got, no questions - it was a slam dunk.

According to the configurator leather is standard on SE Lux spec with or without the Premium pack but not on the SE spec although interestingly if you want to add the Premium pack to an SE you must have leather at and pay £2350 for the Premium pack.

Yes, but as a rule it is a well known fact in the trade is that accessories do not significantly aid resale values.
They might help sell your car compared to another, but options forked out up front are not going to repay you later on, hence the market in bolt ons.

Still it would be a boring world if we all wanted the same thing, its down topersonal choice and if I wasn't paying I would have preferred a factory fit job!
