Default An Answer :)

The suggestion of using the 'resume' button (the curved arrow) does not do anything for me other than resume the speed that you have set - This is the correct operation and is the way it worked on the last cars.

The way to get +/- 1mph increments is to HOLD the +/- button down and you can adjust the speed by the small increments. This works, however I find it a little perverse as I am used to getting large increments when I hold a button down and small increments when touching it briefly.

In fairness the manual does actually say this, though I didn't understand that this is what it meant

Good thing is that it proves Volvo do read these forums, they emailed the answer to me

I'll give that whirl then!

Good to know Volvo read the forums albeit they pick and choose what they answer :-)

My choice.
Sorry, what I said is rubbish! wimorrison #11 is correct in that dab a + or - increments up/down by 5 mph, press and hold +/- allows small adjustments. The circular button resumes set speed

The 5 mph increments allow a quick reduction or increase in speed when the speed limit changes, without any need to disengage then reset cruise. I find it very handy on A roads where the speed limit is perpetually changing - a quick double-press on '-' and the car gently drops 10 mph.

Just to clarify are we talking about pre selecting a required speed before engaging cruise? As has been said the circular arrow is the resume button an will re-engage cruise at the previous speed. However pressing the resume button with cruise already on raises the speed by 1mph, at least on my model.

Nope, when you have set it to say 50mph and then enter a 60 limit and want to increase or potentially decrease it a little depending on traffic.

If you have adaptive cruise control and auto then when you come to a stop if you press the resume button assuming a speed is set when you are stationary it engages the brake so you can take your foot off the pedal in other words it starts the queue assist even if you did not use the cruise control to come to a stop. Does not work whilst you are moving, you have to be stationary.

Do you need to also touch the accelerator to tell the car to start moving or will it move from stationery at the press of a button (F1 launch control?)
