  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

It looks to be a part of the seatbelt pre-tensioner mechanism.

Agreed. As I indicated last night.

I guess it must be connected to all 3 belts as I don't see any more in the rear end.

My assumption was that the one you can see is for the centre belt mechanism and the outer seat belt pre-tensioner 'cartdiges' are hidden out of sight within the inner rear wing or that general area and as such are not visible.

The centre inertia belt I guess has nowhere else to hide all the additional gubbins due to the seat swab etc.

I was curious, but too idle to do anything about it.

I assumed it might be something to do with the rear headrest release mechanism found on the Lux models? If only because it's the first time that I've seen that gadget.
