  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Not sure I understand why people De-Badge their cars? I think it looks better with the badges on. IMHO

It was certainly the case that the many BMW 3 series cars were almost always debadged as the owners didn't want people to know that the car was actually a 318, or worse a 316 - a lot of Merc owners did the same.

What they forgot was that the external trim is different so you were only hiding the model number from people who didn't care, and people who did care knew the model spec from the exterior trim

Was pointless then, and is pointless now.

Whilst in Germany it's normally the top-end 760iLs, A8 W12s etc that are debadged - almost in embarrassment at having bought the top model

Seeing a debadged car always makes me think what is the owner trying to hide. Is he or she a cheap skate or have they stolen the car

Hear’s a thought - some might find the "clean" look of a D-badged car aesthetically pleasing. And thanks to the unique XC60 design, from the back it’s obviously a Volvo so what exactly do the badges do apart from add a bit of bling? Each to their own I guess.
