Interesting - I went to look at the Estate when it was on ebay a few months ago. The Reg is from Bury, just up the road from Bolton, but seem to recall the owner had bought it from somewhere around Gloucester?

Am now running the eBay gauntlet. I realise £2,150 might have been a touch optimistic. Let's see...

The wings don't do the car any favours, they look as though they might not fit that well is it just the pictures or are they that far out?

Yup, you wouldn't call it a flawless fit. The panel gaps vary by 5mm depending on where you look, and the crease along the bottom of the panel is misaligned by a few.

All sortable with time and energy and some fibre skills.

The car's now sold on eBay.

Default Another 1968 estate...

So having sold the white one due to lack of space... I bought another one !

She is a peach. But I really now do not have the space, at least that's what I have been told...

Only I have just bought a 1957 Ford Fairlane Station Wagon...

SNP 393 F, Snoopy to her friends, has been my daily driver since I bought her, and she has given me around 3,500 trouble free miles. She starts first time every time and comes with 11 months MoT and 11 months tax.

She has an overdrive 'box.

In summary, when I bought her I replaced the 1800 with a super reliable, stronger, B20 motor which looks to have a skimmed 140 head (blanked off injectors), with a new carb. I gave her a new battery. Additionally the dynamo was replaced with an alternator, had the steering trued, and I have had a number of paint and localised surface rust issues dealt with.

She is really clean, solid, ultra reliable and beautiful. If I could keep her I would. She is not a show car, just a good useable classic in great condition.

Her age only really shows in slightly worn seats, and those annoying splits on the facia vinyl.

I am putting a bullish price on this RHD car because I haven't seen as nice a car as this for sale, and if that means I have to keep her for a little bit longer, well just the thought of it makes me smile.

So £6,500 or best offer.

There are a few more images here:

If you'd like more information, I am happy to provide whatever you are after, whether it's images, or facts about the car itself.

Thanks.

I did not think it would be long before she found a new home, it is the best time to sell after a write up, maybe we should see what we can get for Gracie now she has been in CCW - Only Kidding!!!!!
