Default 1973 1800es wiring for glass tailgate

I just found out that that a replacement glass tailgate is still available for the 1800es from your friendly local Volvo main dealer. My existing demister panel was damaged many owners ago.

Now that I have this I am asking my mechanic to wire it up but I woke up with a start the other night-where do the cables run to the tailgate? The demister switch lights up but that's as far as my knowledge goes.

ald;

Check Wiring Diagram...it should tell you all you need to know, and remember: The Color Codes are your friend!
Wires should exit near hinges...

Good Hunting!
