If you lower the car you'll need an adjustable panhard bar to centre the rear axle again to ensure wider wheels fit with no rubbing on one or both sides. Mine were 7j and didn't rub but I only lowered 40mm.
Peugeot 17" steels also fit but probably need spacers.
If you were getting a company to band the wheels you could just get the centres moved instead (or as well as the banding) which would eliminate the need for expensive hubcentric spacers - thats what I would do.
Peugeot and Citroen are the same, both owned by PSA (who now also own Vauxhall Vans) so if the Citroen 17" wheels don't need spacers, neither will the Peugeot as the wheels will almost certainly be the same.

The Peugeot ones have a slightly different offset which isn't as compatible IME.

The Citroen ones I used were C6 spare wheels so were a bit unusual.

Doing a bit of checking, it turns out the C6 is a "stand-alone" model in the Citroen range without a direct Peugeot equivalent so unlike things like the Saxo/106 and similar badge-engineered cars from the PSA stable, the C6 is an oddball.

Also it seems the offset could vary even on the same model :
