Yep, 1 gap per revolution, thats why the 940 takes so bloodly long to start compared with the 360.

What were Volvo playing at? All the "normal" ones i've seen have two separate gaps as i described in my post!

This meant a bespoke ABS ECU with a frequency divider on the input from the rear sensor and a converter for the speedo to halve the frequency of pulses. Had Volvo known anything, they wouldn't have fitted the 96 tooth ring in the first place and if they did, they would have fitted one frequency divider on the back end to drive the speedo and ABS ECU - total waste of time and money at the time and a cause of a headache now. Theankfully the LM2917 exists and has a useful frequency-doubler function
