Default Heater control valve 9447892 - finally found a new one

Well my ebay saved search turned up a brand new heater control valve (9447892) bosch p/n 0928400185. It's pricey, however I have put 2 used ones in and they have leaked again, so third times a charm with this new one I hope.
Seller is coalyard-classics on ebay.

Not sure if these are being made again or if I just got lucky. Worth it asking them perhaps.

Good news .... must be a rare find if it is for a 700 Series right hand drive non-a/c car. Got a link as couldn't see it on their website? Cheers, Bob.

Well done GLTease. That’s what I fitted to my 940 back in 2008. I didn’t know that there was a Bosch part number as I couldn’t find much identification on the old valve, with the exception of a part number 3537062 which I found to have been superseded by 9447892.
I wonder if they are still available direct from Bosch.

Bosch p/No 0 928 400 183 doesn't appear to be available any longer Ian.

Look carefully at the photo above from the listing, the correct number ends in a 3, not a 5 but either way, the prefix "0 928 400" puts the part number in the fuel injection group of Bosch parts. For example "0 001" is almost always starter motors and "0 120" is almost always alternators but there are anomalies, seems the heater valve is one of those!

Doing a search for "Bosch 0 928 400 183" brought no results other than close matches.

Those bloody big pics of yours get on my .... as I have to drag the bottom bar to read/see anything!!!!

Anyway ... I also did a search on the Bosch website the day before yesterday and drew a blank!! However, for once I then used the Volvo Pt No. which/was is good but, as we all know nla!! Back to the Ford Escort Mk 1 workaround!! Also, I am not inclined to pay £60 for a f'in plastico heater valve!!

Had a good away day 2day and now back to reality!! (Oh, hooters fitted Friday and just got to disconnect old, knock up a new bit of loom extension and wire them up!!).

Disappointingly, still waiting to spot any 'mature' Volvos' on the M25 or M3 whizzing along within the speed limit ... just!! Absolutely zilch ... and still waiting to be 'spotted' but, not by av. speed cameras'!!

It's a problem on almost every forum i use Bob, whether they're my pictures or not (as that one isn't, shamelessly "borrowed" from ebay) and if the font in most forums was bigger, we could turn the zoom down on our browsers so the pictures would appear a more normal size.
Also if some message boards (used for forums) were built on a proper computer with a widescreen monitor in landscape mode instead of using a phone or similar mobile device in portrait mode then the problem would be reduced further.

Let's face it, our eyes are side-by-side, not one above the other so why do people insist on taking photos/videos and creating websites in portrait mode?

As for the valve, i know the Golf has been mentioned in the past but surely there must be others that have used a similar valve? What about Saabs?

As you will have noted any pics I post (other than eBay cribs) have been set to this website by reducing them to 'large web size'.

I looked at Saabs' a long while ago and couldn't quickly spot anything.

The other day I started looking at all other right hand drive countries stating with Japan. No news yet!!
