Engine: D5252: - Engine rattle - V70 2.5T 2005

My engine has developed a rattle that sounds like it's coming from inside.

The rattle increases with RPM. I can hear the rattle from inside the car.

Lifters need replacing?

Hi all were you able to identify the fault. Mine V70 has also develop a knocking/tapping sound while accelerating on low speed but can't hear it when speed reach over 30mph.

Hi guys. My V90 T5 2.0 has a Cold start footballers rattle noise. From start up it lasts about 15 seconds then engine sounds sweet. The noise is in time. During the 15 seconds of the noise I can interfere with the rattle by revving the car hard or subtly tapping on the accelerator which results in the noise going away but follows by subtle clicks like the sound of one of those gas cooker lighters and then the noise returns until the 15 seconds are up and the engine sounds lovely.

no fault codes

Ive had in taken into volvo twice who say its all normal. it has a full selekt warranty but they refuse to do anything, saying its normal.

An independent mechanic said its sounds like the throttle body gear or axle.

Can anyone help me please.
