How do you open the roof?
I have read the manual but cannot get the roof to open properly. If I press the switch once the sunshade opens a few inches and stops. If I hold the switch for longer it does the same thing and the roof opens slightly to the ventilation position. Once I managed to get the sunshade to open all the way but the roof stayed shut but I don't know how I did it. Luckily it closes OK.

On my car, if you pull back the switch the sunshade is opening, if you push the switch the sunroof is opening. And the sunshade automatically opens togheter with the sunroof. Works very nice.

It takes a bit of a knack and I am not quite there yet, but the key thing I discovered was that the switch both rocks (for the ventilation) position and slides for the sunshade and slide open function.
I also noticed since the last software update that it is now possible to put in vent position with the sunshade closed. This wasnt previously possible.

yes, but in the vent position the sunshade will anyway automatically 50mm open, if it is closed.

It's a crap design and I still haven't mastered it.
There should be 2 separate switches; one for the roof and the other for the blind.

The button could do with better feedback between the two different positions as the first position is manual control and the second position is automatic. It is quite hard to tell the two positions (roughly half way and all the way) apart due to the lack of resistance at the first stop, at least with my car.
For either position the number of clicks dictates what will happen, first click it is the blind, second click you will pop the back of the front panel, third click will open the front panel. You reduce by one click if the blind is open/closed already. If you are using the first position for the button you will need to keep the button held down to get it to the full open or close position, with the second position it should do it by itself. Edit: Nearly forgot, if you are too quick with the multiple clicks it will default to either fully opening/closing (two rapid full clicks) and if the blind is closed but you do a slow double click it'll just pop the back of the front panel but not open the blind. There really is a knack to the timing

Thanks to Philip Fisher I now understand the switch although I still find it fiddly. I have managed to open the sunshade all the way. I haven't tried the glass yet as I don't want to push my luck.
