Have you seen this https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=331359
You do not need the whole blade just the rubber bit.

Depends what you mean by best place...volvo blades are the longest lasting you will get, you get what you pay for, Halfords etc barely last one season .

Funnily enough, I normally fit Bosch, but when I got my used V60 last year, I got some new Volvo ones. I kept the Bosch ones that were on the car in the Volvo box, as they looked ok.

For the last 2 or 3 months the Volvo ones have left a dry smear, particularly when the screen is not that wet, so I've kept using the washers. I have also cleaned the blades properly several times.

I gave up last week and put the old Bosch one back on the driver side. No smear, no streaks, perfect.

Buy Bosch.

You can't buy Bosch wipers for the 2018 on models.

Only Volvo ones or the no name £5 inserts from eBay.

I've been using the £5 ones for the last 50k miles, changing them about every 10k miles. It's a tiny expense.

I would only ever buy Bosch is actually made for the car though.

For SPA cars the jets come out of the wiper arm which is also heated and why the blades are expensive. Are you saying Bosch have replicated the volvo design at a fraction of the price? If not where does your water jet come from?
