Pretty much was mate, a new ECU is over £700 and although we tried we couldn't track down a second hand one. To be honest though even if we had and no other components were damaged the amount of work involved in rewiring the burnt bits of loom would have taken ages and been very fiddly to do

I'm going to try and make this in the 760 but it's having some transmission work done currently and its in need of a replacement part that's on order so it's 50/50 at this point ..

760 was ready to collect today so I'll be popping along for a couple of hours on Sunday.. Just need to find time to clean it before then as it's extremely grubby and in need of some love... Could be tricky as I'm working everyday until Sunday now.. Lol

Is anyone else going..?

Hi mate.
There are a lot of the Truckstop meet regulars who don't peruse the Forum,so I wouldn't worry if many don't reply to your post bud.
There was probably 25 to 30 cars there last year iirc.

Nice to get along to this and see such a large turnout, certainly filled the car park well enough. Good to chat to those I did, Ian your Polestar V60 is something else, do love those, good to see a genuine performance Volvo again. I was there for the best part of 5 hrs and didn't manage to take one photograph unfortunately so if anyone did manage to take some pictures it would be good to see them
