Yes! there is someone who can provide the code for your radios, and if any of you had spent 2 minutes reading the thread you've posted in you would know what you have to do!

v40 radio code
Hi
I have a V40, had to disconnect battery and lost radio code. Contacted main Volvo agent in Newcastle, gave my car registration GX54EBZ and claim they have no information on car. I have previously contacted main agents before and have given me the code. Can anyone trace the radio code for the registration GX54EBZ please. Peter |

Any main dealer can give you the code. Some charge for the privilege, some don't. Find one that doesn't.

Give FRF a call, pretty sure they will help for free, I need to phone them to get a code for the HU-1205 that I picked up.

It does that when the wrong code is entered in too many times. You have to leave the radio on for 2 hours and it will reset, allowing you to enter the code again.

1st place to look is in the manual (if you have one) penned in its not printed or written on the radio. Failing that phone a dealer with your reg number and they should give it for free.

i had problems getting my code with just the car registration, i'm not sure if the radio had been changed at some point.
one volvo main dealer (can't remember who) was very helpful. after no luck with reg' alone they asked for vin number and a pic of the back of the radio showing serial numbers etc. voila the correct radio code at no charge. number now written in handbook and back of radio for future reference.
