Roof bars noise

Help please,
We have a 2017 XC60 (old shape) with a sunroof.

There is a whistling noise from the roof with a roof box and square Thule bars.

I know you can reset the roof but don’t remember how?

Does anyone else have this issue?

Will fitting aero bars or wing bars help?

Does the position of the box matter?

Any help appreciated as we’ve just spent 4 hours driving to Devon with the roof open

I've got the old shape with panoramic roof, and once above about 55mph I always get a whistle, or rushing noise from the aero bars even without a load (don't have a roof box). Not sure there's anything to be done

Sometimes on the light bars on police cars we would get a whistling noise caused by a small hole in one of the cross sections.

I would check yours and if you find any holes cover them with tape and see if the noise goes away.
