It would be the complete head, with pulleys valves etc. Everything. Only thing in return, I may nick your VVT from your damaged head as I need one as a spare.

Let me see if I can get it out and see if everything is ok

6-8 hours!!!! I am not that competent with engines yet and I am sure it takes a lot less time than that.

I would be more concerned about the valves rather than the pistons. Pistons are a lot bigger stronger than the valves

Ok let me know how it all goes, hopefully this could be my cure. Also if my vvt pulley was loose and was wobbling with the cam-belt would this be what was affecting my idle timing

Not sure to be honest. I am still trying myself to figure out exactly how the VVT works...

Hi Gatos i didnt mean because the VVT causing idle problems i meant because the cambelt was vibrating from left to right surely resulting in taking a little longer to rotate...
P.S hows the head looking

Siamblue will come tomorrow to give me a hand and also confirm if the head is ok. I trust his opinion and he knows a lot more than I do about engines.

I am afraid the valves on the head are damaged. I don't have the special tool to remove the valves, but I could see some knocking marks on the pistons, where clearly the valves have hit the pistons. So no good I am afraid. If I see anything coming up, I will give you a shout.
