Hi all, I am new to the VOC though not to Volvos. I recently got my 10th estate, a P1800ES. The car is currently being re-commissioned for, hopefully regular, use. The car was repainted by a previous owner, doing a good job as far as I can tell but has managed to lose a few bits whilst this was done. I am looking for rear number plate lights and the tailgate striker plate. If I knew what the striker plate looked like I may be able to fabricate one myself if not available. Is there anyone in the North Lincs area with an ES that I could look at to see what the striker plate consists of (and see if there is anything else missing from my car!). Also in need of a spare wheel.

Just a steel wheel? I have a few steel wheels, all okay but will restoration if you want mint condition. If you arrange a courier to collect from my home you can have one.

Thanks for the reply. Anything would do for a spare but I have been looking at the posts re alloy wheels and the picture you put on one of your replies seems to be the ones on my car. I wasn't sure whether they were original or not, the guy I bought it from thought they were aftermarket. Although the car was originally used in the UK it went to Sweden for a few years, which is where the seller bought it from. Will think about tracing it's history once I get it home. Will be 'visiting' it at the garage tomorrow to check on progress and get a decent photo of the wheels.

Give the P1800E alloys a good look over, they seem to be the ones that suffered the worst galvanic corrosion issues. Post up some pics.

All I have are some spare steel 5.5” 140 wheels, same PCD. Would be fine as a spare I would think with a skinny tyre on to fit in the boot space. Anyway let me know if you fancy one.

Hi, I would certainly like to take you up on the offer of a steel wheel. I will get my son to organise a courier etc. If you prefer not to put address on the forum email me it ( plus what you want for the wheel) at 'russellchris55@aol.com'.
i am hoping to get the car from the garage at the weekend or early next week. Will post some pics once I have polished it up, will certainly be having a really good look at the wheels!
