Hi finally my focus estate gave up the will and is heading for the scrappies (at last).After searching umpteen makes and models ive took the plunge and bought myself a v40 sports lux on a 52 plate with 88k on the clock.I was hoping somebody could point me to common faults and niggles that will probably need checking/replacing.This is My 1st Volvo so basically my heads up my arse :-D cheers chris

Welcome to the fold, head into the S40/V40 section there is a write up somewhere there listing common faults. But there isn't many. Unless you have a GDI engine and there can be coking issues with that engine.
