General: 140: - 144s Build date ?

Hi , I have a 144s with a B18 engine on an F plate . The V5 shows June 68 as the date of registration. How could I find out the build date? Thanks for assistance. Peter.

You will need to contact Volvo car UK and they may have the information - I know a lot of the records for 140's have been lost unforunatly

go to this link, it is german but further down the page you will find the numbers you are looking for.

http://www.volvo140.de/

the letters will tell you your volvo was built. the letter is part of the Vin # which you find in the eng. comp normally on the right side of the fire wall.

Thanks for your suggestion, I went to Global Cust Rel as suggested via the web. They were prompt, helpful and not only confirmed my cars build date, but also sent me a certificate, by return of post at no charge.Well done Volvo.
