No problem, its very easy, obviously remove fuel rail by firstly taking return pipe out of the end of the rail, you have to bend the metal tab then it just prises out, now undo the 2 10mm bolts holding the rail down and you should be able to move enough to see the regulator, if not try and remove fuel supply pipe (these are very tight and the reg is easily damaged so probably best to take other end off) when looking at the regulator there are two torx's holding onto rail and another holding the body together this is the one to remove and obviously vac pipe. The shiny metal part you've removed is where the evil failing diaphram is, dont bin yet as you may need to compare dimensions with new unit. Now just look up fuel system pressure think its 2.9-3.1 bar then go on ebay and be overwhelmed by choice. Dont worry too much if people dont know the pressure most are 3 bar so will work fine. Yours should be slightly domed on one end, if the new one isnt as domed, you can crush it slightly in a vice using a suitable socket, this ups the pressure but don't worry too much. I've now fitted a remote reg off an old beemer which has completley cured starting and running issues but took some doing fitting pipes and extending vac pipes but at least i've saved 70 odd quid. Still after a knackered proper s40 one though if anyone can help. Please let me know how you get on!.!
