I bought a ‘stop gap’ older C30 while looking for a car I really wanted, and still have it a year later. 112k, 10 years old, been solid, reliable, well screwed together with hardly a rattle to be heard, and great to drive. And for Sporty car, really comfy.
Fancy an XC70 next, and not afraid of the higher mileage ones now! |

Less likely to, I'm finding the current generation to be a significant step backward both usability and functionality, after the previous V & XC60s. The touchscreen takes too much attention to operate (assuming it responds), yet the functionality of the sat nav especially is much reduced. It would have be better for safety if Volvo had sorted this, instead of introducing the speed limiter.
Plus this one has suffered lots of silly quality issues in addition to suffering a full shutdown with less that 70 miles. |

Im not so sure i would, i bought a bit of a lemon and whilst I love driving it, its quite expensive to repair, I could have just put the money I paid for it and got the clutch and flywheel done on the old Laguna, of which I quite like to be honest, this Volvo does handle well, better than the Laguna Privilege, that was a boat in comparison, but this V70 is like poop off a stick too in comparison to the 1.9DCI, the room in the volvo is certainly more for the dogs, a lot more room, cabin and boot. Its the fact that had I known about the gearbox at time of sale, I wouldn't have touched it, no chance, not to mention the fuel usage

Purchased my 2013 XC60 AWD in January 2018 with 102k on the clock & have covered 30k since...must say have spent a few £££'s on it over the past 2.5 years, ie:
EGR & Vacuum Valve Faulty Relay Diode New Tailgate Struts Injector No1 Replaced Two New Front Tyres All the same, it's a very comfortable ride, great build quality & the 2.4 engine gives an impressive performance given the size & weight of the vehicle. So yes, maybe not the cheapest to repair but I would certainly buy another Volvo.

Had a few volvo's...fancied a change, so treated myself to a bmw 520 estate..it was rubbish so chopped it in for another v70.
Then had 2 v70's..then fancied another change so bought a 2013 vw Caravelle t5.1 6 months ago. Just sold it..and now back to volvo again with a 2014 xc60. Once you experience the quality of volvo, nothing else lives up! |

Just replaced my V60 with the newer model. Couldn’t be happier. No issues with either.

The seats and driving position on the R Design I found uncomfortable whereas the SE version has been the most comfortable car I've ever owned, definitely have another.
