Another "What Tyre" question
A trip to McDonalds with the smalls left me with a large screw through one of my rears and it can't be repaired. Fronts are on 3mm (on 33k miles) so were going to get replaced later in the summer.
So, what do I replace my 255/35/20 P Zeros with? Positives for the OEM tyre: They wear well! Negatives: AO foam gave me vibration that had all 4 tyres off and checked. Pat bad experience with Pirelli. Fronts grip well still but make excited squealing noises on full lock manuevering around car parks. More P Zeros this time without the foam seems like the starter for 10 option. Any other suggestions? Have always been happy with Hankook on previous cars but doesn't appear to be an option in this size. Has anyone gone for more left field choices like Dunlop / Uniroyal etc?

I have heard good things about the Uniroyal rain sports but never heard anyone with them on volvos. I will be changing mine to rainsports next year when the summer wheels are here. Currently on pirelli cinturato p7‘s which Work well but haven’t compared them to anything else on this car.

I'm a huge fan of UniRoyal RainSports. I've had them put on every Volvo I've had lol.
The early ones were great and lasted a reasonable time, but the later versions - from RS3 onwards seem to wear much more quickly - say 15k miles? If you're happy with that then I'd wholheartedly recommend them. Brilliant in the dry, brilliant (astounding even) in the rain. They tend to be fairly cheap too

In 20" one of the best is Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
I run the Pilot Sport 4 (4s is not available in the smaller sizes) My second choice would be Continental Sport Contact 6. Have a look at the tyre test here for 20" https://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Articl...-Tyre-Test.htm

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 (or 4-S).
They are amazing and well worth the money, there's nothing better IMO.

I've had Rainsport 3's on my V50 and now my V70 both in 18"
I cant rate them highly enough when taking into account all round performance , wear rate and cost. I'm in Scotland so wet weather / low temp ability was a high factor in choosing them and I have not been disappointed. Terry |

Got rainsports on my wife's car and Pilot 4 on the Volvo.
Both are black, round, not too noisy and stop well. No issues with either. |

Bridgestones, absolutely nothing else I will fit to my car and not the low range stuff the full in performance stuff and they are brilliant. I have Turanza T001 Evo on my 940 at the moment, done 16k miles so far and they are about half worn. Got the same tyres on my Fabia VRS, done about 15k miles on them so far, never found the limit of their grip even with the upgraded suspension in both cars.

+ 1 for the Bridgestones ! Fitted a couple of months back all round on the 940 and the wet grip is excellent
Conti Sport contact on the V70 which have also been excellent for both grip and wear
