Default handover next Friday

I'm due to pick up my 69 plate Inscription Plus on Friday. Does anyone know how the dealers are managing the handover.

we just changed one of our Volvos for a Jag and the handover wasnt much different than normal, just a lot more antibacterial wiping. The car you are collecting should be sanitised beforehand, and then the keys are wiped and handed over to you. if you are giving a car to them, take out the service pack, spare keys etc and leave on the seat (they may have different way of doing it)
We also got a video from the salesman a few days after thanking us and going through a few things. (a bit cheesy but probably something to do with the current situation)

One thing that is wiered is not shaking hands etc, but also kind of good at the same time!

WiFi? - I guess you'll be instructed to read the manual

If it was me, I'd accept the car after a walk-round inspection, take the car home, wash my hands, and then clean the interior properly.

We've all seen the half-arsed efforts of staff wiping stuff over with that same cloth

I'd really recommend some Gtechniq i2 Tri-Clean spray applied to a new Microfibre Cloth and ideally some soft detail brushes. Work over a one area at a time - seat, door card, dash etc.

The product kills 99.99% of Bacteria and leaves an amazing light 'sanitised' scent and matt OE finish.

ours needed a better clean on the inside too. it seemed they gave it a "quick Clean" and then anti bacterial wipe over and left loads of residue. we drove the car back, and left for a few days then i cleaned the interior better with antio back spray and then normal lcockpit spray to bring it up better. the outside already needs a clean though but wasnt worried too much about the outside apart from the handles etc. Be careful with some parts with antibacterial wipes though, i have found they eat into leather so dont use it on those parts, amybe a spray would be better or the stuff that gaevans suggested?

2 or 3 days sitting, and the covid will be expired, if there was any. Then detail the car with your favorite supplies.

Download all the relevant manuals from the Volvo website and then transfer them to your tablet (iPad) and your laptop computers so that you can easily refer to the books. When on major journeys take a tablet and laptop with you for quick reference.
