Now I’m really confused. Have I just read this thread correctly? We have a statement assuring that all T6s do have a GM box and a contradicting one that states this is incorrect.

Also, is my previous question being quoted because of my typo or for some other point that has gone completely over my head?

Some other point that has gone over your head!

All XC90 T6's have the GM gearbox. The key here being XC90's (hence quoting your original statement) posted in the XC90 section of the forum.

So does my confusion come from Volvo fitting a different tranny to other petrol XC90 but the T6 has remained the same throughout its life?

Yes. I suspect but can't confirm, some non XC90 T6's have a different gearbox, and the V8 XC90 certainly does.

hello guys
i have a T6 05 and the trans fluyd was contaminated after gearbor change it due to during replacement they do not change the plate use to separete grase from driveshaft to gearbox.
now i replaced the driveshaft and clean the tran fluyd and everything is going well.
i think 400 has right
be good

Hi...just hijacking the thread....I have 2003 53 plate T6 needing a new box...diagnosed as a problem bet 3-4 gear,struggling to change up and warnings on the dash.....any midland specialists you can recommend? many thanks

true ! dont get confused with the new T6 in current models It is a vastly modified engine and no GM box thank goodness
