Default solid mass flywheel

hi all!!
did anyone ever experienced solid mass flywheel in 2.0 diesels? i have s40 2.0D 2006. as i have my new clutch kit and dual mass flywheel refitted at 62000 miles, witch is 2 years ago. car has 80000 now and all the symptoms and cracking noises shows that the DMF is probably in his way out. ill have a go with my friends 2000 bora tdi with SMF fitted and the torq is just amazing when you go pass 2000 rpm.! i now that DMF makes engine run quieter and quicker gear changes! if you get proper kit for SMF it probobly not gona bee far away from DMF! or maybe i wrong?

sorry about English!

at risk to the gearbox with an SMF, NVH is more than it would be with DMF, lasting a lifetime well probably stretching the mark a good DMF could last just as long.

the problem here is the 2.0D was designed with a DMF.

Well they sound like an awful driver at 18K tbh, you still have to drive properly it is just that it masks some bad driving.

LUK they keep getting improved the newer one i have in mine was much better than the old one...

Are you driving at very low revs and moving off in heavy traffic at tick over as that kind of driving apparently kills dmfs.

Well keeping it above 1200 revs helps, ironically keeping it smooth helps to. I do drive occasionally on tick over true but not often.
