Advice for 440 Turbo needed.
Hi. I am a newbie to this site. I now own my second Volvo having previously owned a 460 Si was very impressed and now have a 440 GLT Turbo Auto.
I'd like to know how to gain a bit more boost from the Turbo (as cheaply as possible) whilst still keeping it safe so it won't blow up! I have looked through the posts on here and see talk of MBC which I assume is Manual Boost Control but what do i need and how do I do this? Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. |

sorry to send you of in another direction, but try this forum:
http://volvo480.northernscum.org.uk/forum/ its just for the 400 series volvo's, they will be able to tell you what to do. i believe the max boost you can run is about 14psi (end of the red), you can also get your car chipped for about £80 (search for rpruen). do a search on there as ive seen a few articles on how to fit an mbc to a 400 series renault engine. |
