Default Venture Shield stone chip protection

Has anyone had Venture Shield fitted to their car, or considered doing so but decided against it?

I have had Paintshield fitted to plenty of my cars, my current Black XC60 has been done, my new white one is at Panintshield today. The person that really gains is the person who buys from you, when you remove the wrap, the paint is as new, but also helps the re-sale value. The dealer who has taken my car in as part exchange was very surprised that a 4yr 90k car looks far better than many cars he has in 6/12months old.

I had the Venture Shield fitted two months ago by our local 3M registered company. Full bonnet, full front bumper, front headlights, front daylight running lights, door mirrors and lip above rear bumper. Got to say, Race By Design, Horley, Surrey did a fantastic job. You have to get very, very close to see any tell-tale signs on the door mirrors or front bumper and the front bonnet is invisible until you pop the bonnet to see the vinyl tucked neatly under the edge.
Attention to detail is astonishing. Now feel much more relaxed when I let cars/trucks pass me on the motorway (not too often). No more worries that a stray stone will ruin my paintwork. If a stone does hit the bonnet, a few hours in the sun and the vinyl self heals to a liquid gloss finish again. Not cheap but IMO well worth the investment given I plan to hang on to this car for 5+ yrs and want it to stay looking as good as the day I drove it out of the showroom. Highly recommended product.

I have a white MY 14 XC60 and found that the sill above the rear bumper was becoming marked every time I loaded anything in or out of the rear door. I have now had just the sill coated coated with the clear 3m coating and it is a great improvement. It is almost impossible to see that it has been coated. Cost R200 here which is the equivalent of about £15. I would recommend that anyone with a color coded rear sill do this before it is damaged and needs repainting. My precious XC60 had a black protective plate that prevented the problem.

Just for anyone thinking of 3M stuff, it's free delivery this weekend.
