Default App software updates stuck

In December the final app update on the list failed and since then that page is always showing ‘software updating’ with the little wheel going round constantly.

As soon as you connect the car to the web it starts. Because of this I cant update anything else, or add new apps as ‘its not finished’ . You can update the maps if youre quick inserting the USB just as the car awakes before it starts the never ending software update. Once the map is updated - it goes back to the ceaseless app update.

What Ive tried:

1) Disconnecting both batteries for 20 minutes (several times, can now do it with my eyes closed)
2) Deleting the app involved
3) Taking it to the dealer (they updated the software, but obviously not the apps)
4) Removing the sim
5) Ignoring it for 6 months

But now as Spotify has restricted functionality due to the new update its more critical, does anyone know how to fully reboot Sensus to clear this?

Dealer has a 3 week lead and is now very inconveniently located and I dont want to waste the several hours again as they plainly didn’t understand the issue or didn’t know what to do about it, that said they fixed the rattle i has which is apparently unique to the 4 zone climate cars ducts rattling together.
