I changed from a 90 to a 60 and for a long time I really did miss the much roomier 90, but I eventually got used to the 60 and love it, except for the heavier fuel consumption.

Now i am having a new V60 tomorrow evening - that 's going to take some getting used to after 3 XC 's.

I really do like both the blue and red of your cars.

The red was wife's choice blue was mine being solid colours easier to maintain.

Congrats on your new motor, very striking.
I didn't manage to get 10yrs out of my 3 XC90's but still enjoyed every one of them, especially the yearly trips to France all the way from NW Ireland right down to the South. A more comfortable and relaxing way to transport us and the 3 kids you couldn't ask for.
I changed over to a XC60 in 2010 as kids were getting older and the running costs began to kick in as the Gov over here took a very high VRT tax on cars of that size plus yearly tax of over €2000 per year.!!
I'm now on my second XC60 but will be waiting with interest to see how the new XC90 will turn out like, not that I need one but that won't stop me wanting one.

Rebel Blue is such a fantastic colour. Would have chosen it myself if it hadn't been removed as an option when I ordered (I think it only lasted a year).

Interesting. After several yeas of V70s I had a XC90 for a day and really didn't get on with it at all. Seemed to be from a different age. The parking brake hurt my foot, the 3rd row of seats took up space that were wasted for me - a day with an XC60 and I wanted it. OK boot space was a bit less but that was about it. I love it.
