145 project for sale
I am looking for an enthusiast to take on the restoration of my late friends car, as I have too much to do elsewhere.
The car is a late model, is fully complete, the engine turns (not tried to run it yet), has a towbar but no brakes (disconnected before trailering away). The usual older-car door bottom rot; the tailgate is rotten (replacement included) but unwelcome visitors to his place when he was in hospital tried to get under the seized bonnet by smashing the grill away, with predictable results. From studying the market recently it is probably valued at about £650 as the windscreen base and chassis outriggers are OK. Car is currently in West Sussex at secure site: inspection can be arranged with resident land owner given notice. The old-style V5 comes with car, in my friends name. I won’t let this car go for banger-racing or merely picking-over for some spares, as once it is gone it is gone and my late friend wouldn’t like that. I could easily dismantle for a few parts but as most are still available new, why bother? It mainly needs rust remedial actions, although at first glace the underside looks OK. I have some photos but can't add to Forums on this old machine: can email though, so if interested please mail me on paultill@tesco.net and I'll send a set. Paul |

Sorry - 1st registered 16.8.73 so it still has front window quarter-light windows.
Will check mileage when next there, but hardly essential when a car is this age. P |

Not for me as I already have too many projects and already have a late 145.
I hope someone does save it, there are not that many 140's left |

Hi Paul. Just wanted to say and wish you a happy new year. Love to take this on but I think I have to much committed on the projects I have. Sadly
