Default Driving with no coolant

Recently had a coolant leak. It's all fixed but coolant has been watered down by about 50%.

Would it be ok to drive 5 miles to volvo to get some coolant?

This shouldn't be an issue. Correct coolant mix is important as an anti freeze and anti corrosion.

In the short term it will not matter so long as there is sufficient diluted coolant to transfer the heat from the engine block. Once you have the concentrate you can beef up the concentration to the necessary level. While you are buying the additive, you might consider buying a coolant tester to monitor the concentration if you can get one. You can calibrate the tester with a small quantity of the correctly diluted coolant.
