reversing camera installtion effect on radio - Page 2

I don't use CD or Bluetooth for music, and only listen to the DAB radio so I can't say if the other 'sources' have the same problem.

However, this morning I had a strange problem in that the "Park Assist System Service required" message appeared, which disabled my parking sensors.

When I got to work and reversed into a parking slot, my reverse sensors did not work (as expected with this error), but the radio did break up.

I'm going to have to take it into the dealer and get it sorted as I'm still not sure what is causing the problem, the sensors or the camera. Luckily, it's all still under warranty, so if the 'technician' can manage to find a code and fix it

Have you managed to find out if you have the option code 820 ("Rear parking camera, preparation") fitted to your car?

Is it possible that the radio is muting and coming back when the'beeps' are working but not making sounds?

No beeps but radio going on and off.....

No idea where I would even find if the parking camera prep was fitted at build but I have had the parking system service message dealer replaced rear sensors due to water ingress into the loom

I would say not. The 'break up' is not regular/consistent, it is very random. Also, although the volume does mute slightly, the 'break up' I am getting is the same as complete loss of reception.

No, it is a Volvo OEM hardwired system.
