V70 Stereo/DVD: - v70 2001 cd unit

Hi all, just need some advice regarding fitting a HU 605 cd stereo unit to my 2001 v70, I have read on other posts that the battery has to be disconnected in order to remove the air con and heating controls, to get to the stereo , to avoid the e/m light to appear on the dash and an expensive visit to the dealer to knock it off, does this apply to all v70 models , thanks Sennaclass

Ok I have now fitted a HU 603 , radio and cd player works , but the unit is not lit up , which is a pain at night , connected up all the relevant cables but its not illuminated, any advice would be great thanks .

It means that the HU-603 that you fitted does not match the model year of your car.
You need to find a HU from a car which is the exact MY of yours.

Hi thanks for that I have fitted a HU603 but I think the correct unit is HU605 for a 2001 v70 Torslanda, many thanks.
